Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Bishop Ludden's Winning Streak

After flying high against Living Word Academy on Monday, Bishop Ludden came back down to earth. The Gaelic Knights fell 3-1 to the Weedsport Wolverines on Wednesday. The Gaelic Knights' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-19, 18-25, 25-23.

Riley Abernethy paced Bishop Ludden's offense, picking up 12 kills. Abernethy got some help from Ava Christodoulou and her 16 assists. Abigail Mossotti controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bishop Ludden's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Weedsport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Ludden will face off against Onondaga at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Weedsport, they will be playing at home against Living Word Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
