Recap: Woodlake Tigers vs. Orosi Cardinals

The Woodlake Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 76-47 loss at the hands of Orosi. Woodlake lost against Orosi in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-40 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Woodlake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hugo Cruz. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The contest was Cruz's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovani Rodriguez, who scored six points.

Woodlake's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Orosi, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Woodlake will head out on the road to face off against Laton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Laton is ranked 1450th, while Woodlake is ranked 1443rd). As for Orosi, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Caruthers at 6:30 p.m.
