Stewarts Creek waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Coffee County Central Red Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Hawks have posted since March 25th.

Tyler Sallee looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tyler Huskey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple.

Stewarts Creek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Coffee County Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.
