Basketball Recap: Lexi Vaughan and Addison Bell Secure Win for Bandys + How To Watch

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Bandys on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-42 victory over the South Iredell Vikings. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 54-51 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Bandys was led to victory by Addison Bell and Lexi Vaughan. Bell shot 44% from the field to rack up 21 points, while Vaughan almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. Vaughan is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season. Madison Gault was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

South Iredell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Grace Saunders, who posted eight points and nine rebounds. Laila King also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Bandys has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.5 points this season. As for South Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Bandys has already played their next matchup, a 58-21 win against West Caldwell on the 4th. As for South Iredell, they will face off against Ballantyne Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th.
