Recap: Southeast Pirates vs. Mogadore Wildcats

The Southeast Pirates suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 77-47 loss at the hands of Mogadore. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southeast in their matchups with Mogadore: they've now lost six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Garrett Sprutte. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. That was a full 51.1% of Southeast's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mogadore, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Southeast will head out on the road to take on Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Aquinas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Mogadore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Center Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
