Basketball Recap: Helix Find Success

Helix won the last time they faced Mount Miguel and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Helix Highlanders walked away with a 58-47 win over the Mount Miguel Matadors. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but the Highlanders were the better team in the second half.

Mount Miguel lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jamell Willey, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Jerome Radcliff was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Helix's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Mount Miguel, they moved to 10-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helix will head out to take on El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Helix is facing El Capitan at the right time seeing as El Capitan is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mount Miguel, they will square off against Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
