Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Portland walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 63-45 win over the Scarborough Red Storm on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Red Riots in their matchups with the Red Storm: they've now won three in a row.

South Portland's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points over those games. As for Scarborough, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Coming up, South Portland will face off against Bonny Eagle at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Bonny Eagle will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something South Portland surely won't give up without a fight. Scarborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
