Football Recap: Sierra Pacific Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Sierra Pacific was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to the Exeter Monarchs. The Golden Bears haven't had much luck with the Monarchs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

A big part of Exeter's win came down to the chemistry between Andrew Plyman and his top target Owen Robertson. Plyman threw for 143 yards and one touchdown on only 13 passes while Robertson picked up 85 receiving yards and one TD.

Sierra Pacific's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Exeter, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.

Sierra Pacific and Exeter could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Golden Bears (ranked 645th) will meet Immanuel (ranked 275th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Exeter will square off against Washington Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (523 vs. 241).
