Hastings hadn't done well against Northwest recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Saxons came out on top against the Mounties by a score of 12-7. The high-scoring effort was just what the Saxons needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The team relied heavily on Kayden Brown, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
