Baseball Recap: North Garland Comes Up Short

North Garland lost against Naaman Forest back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders fell 6-2 to the Rangers.

Maddox Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Zion Naidoo was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

North Garland has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17-2 record this season. As for Naaman Forest, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-12-1 record.

North Garland and Naaman Forest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Raiders (ranked 971st) will meet Rowlett (ranked 198th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Naaman Forest will challenge Sachse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (749 vs. 30).
