Baseball Recap: Corning Comes Up Short

Corning's last matchup with Orland could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Trojans, falling 9-0. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Corning saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Long, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Corning's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Orland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Orland will head out to square off against Hamilton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Corning will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' contest: after the Trojans faces off against the Braves, they'll take on Corning again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
