Soccer Recap: Lakeland Falls Short of Osceola in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeland can now relate to. They came up short against the Osceola Kowboys on Thursday, falling 11-3. The Dreadnaughts were probably out for revenge after losing 4-2 to them when the teams met back in December of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

They hit Osceola with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brycen Fischer, Ian Acevedo, and Talon Mundo.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeland and nudges their season record down to 3-13-2. As for Osceola, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Osceola, they will take on Lake Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Osceola knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lake Gibson likes a good challenge.
