Kennett has gone a perfect 4-0 against Doniphan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Dons at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Kennett is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Jackson just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Fighting Indians by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kennett got a good showing from Hayden Wilson, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Wilson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Caleb Duncan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Doniphan couldn't beat Poplar Bluff on Tuesday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the third inning. The Dons lost 17-9 to the Mules. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Doniphan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Kennett, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Kennett took their win against Doniphan when the teams last played on Thursday by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
