Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aleyah Wilson, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points along with seven steals and five boards. Wilson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Y'Anna Rivers, who posted 12 points.
Kinsey Cave was her usual excellent self, going 10 for 15 to rack up 24 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds for East Duplin. What's more, Cave also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Carrie Carr was another key player, putting up six points and 18 boards.
James Kenan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for East Duplin, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2.
