Preview: Bethlehem Catholic Hawks vs. Notre Dame Spartans
Bethlehem Catholic has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Notre Dame Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Bethlehem Catholic came up short against Emmaus and fell 52-40. While losing is never fun, Bethlehem Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while Emmaus is ranked 29th).
Meanwhile, Notre Dame's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tri-Valley.
Bethlehem Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Notre Dame, they bumped their record down to 6-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Bethlehem Catholic strolled past Notre Dame when the teams last played back in January of 2022 by a score of 53-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bethlehem Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
