Highland Springs had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Deep Run Wildcats by a score of 76-63. The Springers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

When it comes to explaining why Deep Run lost, don't look at Cooper Hallam. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Dizru Utah was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Looking ahead, Highland Springs will face off against Monacan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deep Run, they will challenge Cosby at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
