Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Northampton last Friday, Franklin came back down to earth. Franklin lost 24-4 to the King's Fork Bulldogs on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-2 last Friday.

Ja'Najh Frazier was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Deja Hayes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Franklin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 1-4-1 record this season. King's Fork now has a winning record of 3-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will head out to challenge Surry County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for King's Fork, they will venture away from home to square off against Norview at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
