Basketball Recap: Southwest Prep Northwest Comes Up Short

Southwest Prep Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Lifegate Christian Falcons and fell 68-33. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 90-45 back in January.

Lifegate Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DaGionne Padelford, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 16 points and six boards. Padelford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Rowe Hansen was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Southwest Prep Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lifegate Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest Prep Northwest will welcome Sunnybrook Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lifegate Christian, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
