Basketball Recap: Osceola Finds Playoff Glory Versus Pinellas Park

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Osceola walked away with it. They came out on top against the Pinellas Park Patriots by a score of 70-57 on Monday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Patriots are ranked 638th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Osceola's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Lemons, who went 8 for 15 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Lemons a new career-high in steals. Talon Brooks was another key player, putting up 19 points and six boards.

The win snapped Osceola's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-11 record. As for Pinellas Park, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Osceola will take on Countryside on Wednesday. Countryside will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Osceola surely won't give up without a fight. Pinellas Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
