Soccer Game Preview: Padua Franciscan vs. Gilmour Academy

Padua Franciscan is 0-5 against Gilmour Academy since September of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bruins will face off against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Padua Franciscan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Padua Franciscan's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past South 1-0. Ally Tonsing had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Padua Franciscan.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilmour Academy). Everything went their way against Brush on Thursday as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Gilmour Academy, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Gilmour Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-5-2. As for Padua Franciscan, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Padua Franciscan might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Gilmour Academy in their previous meeting back in August. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bruins were down 3-0.
