Softball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Revere Minutemen, falling 17-7. If the Rough Riders were looking for revenge after losing 27-6 to the Minutemen when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Devin Stohovitch and Avery Gates stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stohovitch scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Gates scored a run while going 1-for-3. Kamia Green also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Revere, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Roosevelt has already played their next game (against Cuyahoga Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Revere, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-6 defeat against Aurora on the 14th.
