Volleyball Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset was the 2-1 winner over Elmwood/Plum City when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Wolves on Saturday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Somerset was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Elmwood/Plum City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.

Somerset will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Elmwood/Plum City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Frederic on the 11th.
