If Parkway West wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Parkway South, they should've done a better job of containing Jack McClanahan. The Patriots came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 3-1 on Friday for which the team can thank McClanahan, who had ten digs and four aces. He has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times he's played.

The win didn't come easy: Parkway West scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21.

Parkway South's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Parkway West, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Parkway South will head out to take on Kirkwood at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Parkway West, they will host Marquette at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight.
