Softball Game Preview: Round Mountain Knights vs. Pahranagat Valley Panthers

Round Mountain hasn't had much luck against Pahranagat Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Knights will challenge the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Round Mountain is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Indian Springs as they made off with a 14-2 win. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Meanwhile, Pahranagat Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Muckers 16-5.

Shada Spencer was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. Another player making a difference was Mylah Stout, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Round Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Pahranagat Valley, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Round Mountain might still be hurting after the 11-5 loss they got from Pahranagat Valley when the teams last played back in March. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
