Volleyball Recap: Taunton Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Taunton had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Algonquin Regional Titans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13.

Leading Taunton to victory were Deion Le and Daniel Freitas. Le had five aces, while Freitas hit 77.8% for seven kills and five digs and five aces. Freitas is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 19 or more in each of the last 23 games he's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good server: Taunton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Taunton's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Algonquin Regional, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Taunton has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Nipmuc Regional on the 31st. Algonquin Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
