Basketball Game Preview: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Arbor View Aggies

The Las Vegas Wildcats will square off against the Arbor View Aggies at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Las Vegas knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Arbor View likes a good challenge.

Las Vegas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Mojave, who was ranked fourth at the time (Las Vegas was ranked 17th). The Wildcats took an 80-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rattlers on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (60), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arbor View). In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 71-70 win over Spring Valley. The victory continues a trend for the Aggies in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won four in a row.

Arbor View now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Las Vegas, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Las Vegas came up short against Arbor View in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 64-52. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
