While Boerne's win against Alamo Heights wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Greyhounds won by a run and slipped past the Mules 6-5.

Boerne's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-8. As for Alamo Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

Coincidentally, Boerne and Alamo Heights will both be playing Pieper the next time they take the field. The Mules will head out to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Greyhounds will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
