Baseball Recap: Milford Mill Academy Comes Up Short

Milford Mill Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 22-12 to the Chesapeake Bay Hawks. The Millers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bay Hawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Noah James was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyrin Scott, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

Milford Mill Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Chesapeake, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bay Hawks beat Milford Mill Academy by a score of 19-1 later that day.
