Baseball Recap: Loyola Academy Comes Up Short

Loyola Academy blew Providence Catholic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Providence Catholic got their revenge. The Ramblers fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 8-6. The Ramblers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Celtics earlier this season, when they won 16-3.

Loyola Academy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Providence Catholic, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Loyola Academy will square off against St. Francis at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Providence Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Hanover Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Celtics' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
