Baseball Preview: Canon-McMillan Big Macs vs. Seton LaSalle Rebels
The Canon-McMillan Big Macs will take on the Seton LaSalle Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Canon-McMillan gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Trinity 9-7.
Sebastian Shulsky tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Canon-McMillan let Colin Yeager and Ben Peterson run wild. Yeager went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Peterson went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Meanwhile, Seton LaSalle earned a 7-3 win over Carrick on Tuesday. With that victory, the Rebels brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Josh Burkholder was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Dacien Loman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
Seton LaSalle's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Canon-McMillan, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
