Football Recap: Unaka Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Unaka extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of the Twin Springs Titans. The Rangers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.

Brayden Otey threw for 83 yards and one TD. Ashton Fuller was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards.

As for Twin Springs, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Unaka: they've now won five in a row.

Twin Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Pascual, who rushed for 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Pascual a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Looking ahead, Unaka will head out on the road to square off against Cosby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Rangers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Twin Springs, they will be playing at home against Pineville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
