Basketball Recap: Ethel Walker Piles Up the Points Against Westminster School

Ethel Walker was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Westminster School on Saturday. Ethel Walker took their match with ease, bagging a 62-23 victory over the Westminster School Martlets. Ethel Walker has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Ethel Walker to victory were Liana Salamone and Taelor Arnold. Salamone went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Arnold posted 11 points and five steals. Arnold is becoming a predictor of Ethel Walker's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Sanchez, who had six points.

Ethel Walker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Ethel Walker's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-3.
