Softball Recap: Templeton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Templeton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Taft Wildcats 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 18th.

Tegan Jay looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She also allowed three hits, marking her first of the season.

At the plate, Templeton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Fiorenza, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Templeton's record is now 9-6. As for Taft, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Templeton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 victory against Porterville on the 12th. As for Taft, they have also already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Tulare Western on the 12th.
