West Henderson won the last time they faced Erwin and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Falcons have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Makena Henderson was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Marley Orr was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
West Henderson lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Erwin didn't launched any home runs.
The victory made it two in a row for West Henderson and bumps their season record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Erwin, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Coming up, West Henderson will head out on the road to challenge North Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.09 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Erwin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 defeat against Enka on the 4th.
