Baseball Recap: Hatton Takes a Loss

Hatton's last matchup with Deshler could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Hornets lost 10-0 to the Tigers. The Hornets have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Hatton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Deshler, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season.

Hatton will look to defend their home field on Monday against Rogers at 5:00 p.m. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.76 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Deshler, they will head out on the road to challenge Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
