Preview: Pescadero Vikings vs. Design Tech Dragons
Pescadero is 0-5 against Design Tech since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pescadero Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Design Tech Dragons at 3:30 p.m. Pescadero is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Wednesday, Pescadero was beaten by Summit Shasta 93-39. While losing is never fun, Pescadero can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1387th, while Summit Shasta is ranked 461st).
Design Tech can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past San Francisco Christian 61-15 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Design Tech has managed all season.
Design Tech relied on the efforts of Skyler Stewart, who scored 11 points, and Eddy Yee, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stewart has scored all season. Bassam (Sam) Karadshe was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pescadero's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. Design Tech's record now sits at 1-9.
Pescadero was dealt a bruising 60-18 defeat at the hands of Design Tech in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Pescadero avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
