Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Warsaw Wildcats and fell 55-18. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 467th, while the Wildcats are ranked 212th).

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Warsaw, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Santa Fe will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orrick at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Warsaw also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Lawson at 11:30 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
