Baseball Game Preview: Durant Wildcats vs. West Liberty Comets

For the second straight game, Durant will face off against West Liberty. The Wildcats will face off against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Durant 3.9, West Liberty 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Durant was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out West Liberty 2-1.

The team relied heavily on Trey Ramer, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one double. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in June of 2024.

Durant has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for West Liberty, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-10.
