Basketball Recap: New Covenant Comes Up Short

New Covenant came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 51-21 loss at the hands of the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops. The Gryphons haven't had much luck with the Bishops recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

New Covenant lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lucy Kirshberger, who posted five points and eight rebounds. Eleanore Seckman also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebound of the season.

New Covenant's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Virginia Episcopal School, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-8.

As of now, neither New Covenant nor the Bishops have any future games scheduled.
