Basketball Game Preview: American Fork Cavemen vs. Pleasant Grove Vikings

American Fork and Pleasant Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The American Fork Cavemen will face off against the Pleasant Grove Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

American Fork will face Pleasant Grove after dropping another heartbreaker against Lehi on Friday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 3.1 of beating them. American Fork fell 62-52 to Lehi. The Cavemen have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove came up short against Lone Peak on Friday and fell 40-32.

Pleasant Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for American Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

American Fork came up short against Pleasant Grove when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 56-48. Can American Fork avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
