Coconut Creek hadn't done well against Monarch recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Coconut Creek Cougars' defense stepped up to hand the Monarch Knights a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Monarch with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jeff Saint-Juste, Ryan Paulime, and Jovens Alexis.

The victory was the third in a row for Coconut Creek, bringing their record for this year to 11-2-2. As for Monarch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Piper the next time they take the pitch. Monarch will host Piper at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Coconut Creek will host them at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th.
