Basketball Recap: Van Takes a Loss

Van was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-32 loss at the hands of the St. Joseph Central Irish. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Irish are ranked 46th).

Van's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for St. Joseph Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Van will challenge Man at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Van has given up an average of 69.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. St. Joseph Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
