Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Spartans vs. Franklin Patriots

The Stevenson Spartans will square off against the Franklin Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Stevenson took a blow against Belleville, falling 79-31. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Tigers are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to Churchill on the road by a 49-35 margin.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Stevenson, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Everything came up roses for Stevenson against Franklin in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 60-14 victory. Will Stevenson repeat their success, or does Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
