Baseball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

Midlothian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corsicana Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Monday.

Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Corsicana, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

While Midlothian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
