Basketball Recap: Cicero Prep Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cicero Prep Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hayden Lobos by a score of 61-53. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-55 back in December of 2024.

Hayden lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jando Waddell, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Waddell a new career-high. Mario Hong was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and six boards.

Cicero Prep Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Hayden, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12.

As of now, neither Cicero Prep Academy nor Hayden have any future games scheduled.
