Softball Recap: Peck Comes Up Short

If Peck was riding high fresh off their 17-6 takedown of Capac on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Armada Tigers on Friday, falling 11-2. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ryleigh Ureel put in work no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and eight unearned) runs off seven hits. Ureel was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Peck's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Armada, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

While Peck had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
