Kingwood won the last time they faced Humble and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs blew past the Wildcats 3-0.

While Kingwood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-7, 25-23.

Leading Kingwood to victory were Sammi Zeller and Addison Baccus. Zeller had nine digs and six assists, while Baccus had five assists and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Kingwood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.

Kingwood's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-25. As for Humble, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-24 record this season.
