Ocoee hasn't had much luck against Apopka recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Knights will face off against the Blue Darters at 7:00 p.m. Ocoee will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Ocoee beat Wekiva 6-2.

Onrique Archie looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Ocoee's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 6-3 (and 7-8 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Serico Allen, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Dwight Oneal was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, while it was Apopka who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was St. Cloud who put up more. The Blue Darters came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 20-9. The Blue Darters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Timothy (Jez) Hamrick was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Posluszny, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Ocoee pushed their record up to 13-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Apopka, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ocoee has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Apopka struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ocoee might still be hurting after the 10-2 defeat they got from Apopka in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
