Basketball Recap: Mt. Shasta Find Success

Mt. Shasta and Lassen faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Mt. Shasta Bears snuck past the Lassen Grizzlies with a 62-57 victory. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Grizzlies, too.

Lassen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peace Folorunso, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Hart, who earned 11 points and eight rebounds.

The win got Mt. Shasta back to even at 7-7. As for Lassen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Mt. Shasta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-54 defeat against West Valley on the 4th. As for Lassen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-46 loss against Del Norte on the 4th.
