Basketball Recap: Toronto Red Knights vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

The Toronto Red Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They lost to Trinity Christian at home by a decisive 58-41 margin. While losing is never fun, Toronto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 680th in Ohio, while the Warriors are ranked 51st in West Virginia).

Despite the loss, Toronto still got an impressive performance from Ashton Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Michelle Anderson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Toronto's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Trinity Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toronto will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Palestine is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Trinity Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
